David Foster Wallace: Brief Interviews with Hideous Men

Culled from the short story collection by David Foster Wallace, these short monologues capture the male ego in a dangerous whirlpool of sexuality. Gradually, under a harsh fluorescent glare, the men emerge, in varying degrees of hideousness. Nearly all of them are talking about sex: what they dream of doing, what they have done and how they wheedled and lied and flattered and consoled in order to do it. Together, they form a sort of bestiary of male selfishness.

Samuel Beckett: Short Works
Beckett's theatre became the medium in which he achieved his greatest acclaim and fame. These short plays present investigations of memory, responsibility, self-identity, and expressionability that are moving and profound, as well as being intimate portraits of the individual alone. The plays are powerful documents of intimate moments that question not only what we call theatre but also question how we understand, experience, question & represent our "self"s, our pasts...our "moments."
